Our Story Started in January 2019
What began as helping one animal quickly became another… and another… until fostering became a huge part of my life.
Since 2019, I’ve fostered hundreds of animals and experienced every side of rescue—the joy of adoption days, the heartbreak of difficult cases, the late-night bottle feedings, the medical recoveries, and the reality that there are simply never enough homes, enough resources, or enough funding for the number of animals that need help.
Through fostering, one thing became impossible to ignore: people care deeply about animals and want to help—but traditional fundraising alone can only go so far.
I started asking myself a bigger question.
What if helping rescue animals wasn’t something people only did occasionally?
What if it could become part of everyday life?
That idea eventually became The Chatty Cat Cafe.
I wanted to create something different—a space where people could enjoy great coffee, connect with adoptable cats, learn about rescue, and directly help create better outcomes for animals in our community. A place built around hope, connection, and second chances.
Since opening, together we’ve helped hundreds of cats move one step closer to the life they deserve.
But I kept thinking.
Rescue doesn’t stop at adoption.
So The Chatty Cat Closet was born.
The Closet gives clothing a second chance while helping support a mission built around second chances. By choosing secondhand fashion, our community helps reduce waste while supporting a business designed to create more opportunities for rescue work.
Everything we do comes back to the same mission:
Create more second chances.
For cats.
For clothing.
For communities.
And for the people who believe small choices can make a big impact.
Thank you for being part of the story.
